Isinmi
Inspired by traditional West African ceremonial stools, Isinmi is a collection of functional handmade ceramic stools. Initially created to accompany the larger performance project commissioned by The Luminary, which considered Black femmes at rest, Isinmi highlights the importance of rest practices for ALL peoples of African descent. This series features collectible stools, footrests, and side tables that become a symbol of communal reverence and ancestral veneration.
